It may well be that our thinking has recourse to language, and that he who makes an assumption, accepted a corresponding sentence in the language. But it does not follow that making an assumption should be analyzed as the acceptance of sentences.
It is at least possible that man - like certain animals - believes some things without reason to accept certain propositions.
Circular: there is no one here, if it is at least possible to determine assumptions without recourse to certain phrases. >Animal language, >thinking without language.
