Def cognitive priority: a concept is not conceivable without the other, but not the same as definitional priority - eg red* (field of view) without red is possible, but being red can be defined only by red* (field of view).

Kaplan: character: is the same for red and reduv. That is what is primarily of red*

Peacocke: cognitive and definitional priority do not necessarily coincide.

It may be that a concept has definitional priority over a second concept, but the second has cognitive priority over the first.
