compositionality/composite statement/complex/propositional function/Tarski: composite statements need not be connections of simpler statements - which applies only to propositional functions.
>Propositional functions.
Compositionality: Only for propositional functions, not for statements?
Problem: then a "reconstruction" of operators does not lead to the truth or falsity of a given statement.
>Truth capability.
Reason: because we get statements as certain special cases of propositional functions.
Solution: satisfaction.
>Satisfaction/Tarski, >Satisfiability/Tarski.
Scheme: for every a - a complies with the propositional function
x iff. p
Example
A fulfilled the propositional function
"x is white" iff A is white.
Then particularly snow fulfills the propositional function "x is white". (1)
((s) Because satisfaction is precisely related to propositional functions and not to statements).
