Avramides I 23
Grice: the analytical biconditional has semantical terms on the left hand side and psychological terms on the right (the right hand side is more complex than the left). Reductive: in the end, we only have psychological terms. If not, then it is reciprocal (Avramides pro). Reciprocal: the analysis must also be applied to the relations, that the meanings have to the mental states. SchifferVsGrice: speaker meaning does not have a logical priority - otherwise it is circular. Reciprocal analysis/Avramides: the reciprocal analysis can show how psychological and semantic concepts fit together.
>Avramides on Grice, >Speaker meaning.
