Animals/Feelings/Rorty: we attribute feelings to babies and attractive animals. Not, however, to ugly spiders, which we do not regard with sentimentality. It is important that sentences be expressed with a suitable face.

Sensation/Animals/Rorty: no one cares whether koalas have the same experiences of red, but there is no difference whether a koala bear is in pain.
