Martin I 80
Def weak verificationism / Martin: No record of any finite set of confirmations (verification) entails (includes) the truth or falsity of the confirmed. -
Def strong verificationism / Martin: a finite set of affirmations (verification) entails (includes) the truth or falsity of the confirmed - ironically the weak v. itself is verification transcendent: any finite set of affirmations is consistent with the falsity of the confirmed. ((s) Cf. >Strength of Theories.)
