His major works include Phänomenologie des Geistes (1807), Wissenschaft der Logik (1812-16), and Enzyklopädie der philosophischen Wissenschaften im Grundrisse (1817). He mainly worked on metaphysics, epistemology, aesthetics, philosophy of history, and political philosophy.
