H. Wessel (1936-2019), German logician. His major works include Logik und Philosophie (1976), Terminigebrauch und Folgebeziehung (1983), and Logik, Dass-Termini: Intensionalität und Ersetzbarkeit (1993). His fields of specialization were classical logic, non-classical logic, and the philosophy of language.

Conditional: A conditional in logic is a statement that asserts a relationship between two propositions, typically in an "if-then" format. It states that if the antecedent is true, then the consequent must also be true. In contrast to (purely formal) implication, the conditional refers to the content of the propositions.
