Hans Jonas on Good - Dictionary of Arguments

Brocker I 615
Good/The Good/Jonas: Jonas thesis: Good is anchored in being, it is not the result of human settlement, convention or contract. Thus, according to Jonas, it receives its higher consecration. It calls the subject directly to its realization. (1) See Being/Jonas
, Teleology/Jonas, Ethics/Jonas.
Context: According to Jonas, the duty of mankind to avoid the total destruction of itself and all life can therefore be read directly from nature.
