Responsibility/Jonas: Initiated by the 1973 Club of Rome report on the limits of growth (see Progress/Club of Rome
), among other things, an ecological awareness developed worldwide that dealt with the risks of modern large-scale technology.
This is the historical background to Jonas' ethical main work The Principle of Responsibility (1979). Jonas' thesis: the survival of humanity is endangered and we all bear responsibility that "a humanity exists".(1)
