Brocker I 840 World Order/Huntington: The driving forces behind the upheavals of the "old" global order are related cultural formations according to Huntington: "peoples and countries with similar cultures are coming together". (1) Huntington thus provides his theoretical framework with a rather socio-psychological dynamic for action. As early as the 1990s there was a union of Nordic and Baltic states, as well as Orthodox and Muslim alliances in the Balkans, conflicts between Russian and Muslim fundamentalists in post-Soviet states, a flare-up of conflicts between Muslim, Chinese, Hindu and Christian groups on the Indian and East Asian subcontinent and pacts between Latin American states.
