Horwich I 12 Def Judgment/Falsehood/Russell: Every judgment is a relation of the mind to different objects where one of the objects in turn is a relation. >Complex/Russell, >Relation/Russell. Perception: cannot be wrong (unlike the judgment). It is always complex. - E.g. Knife left of the book. Def Truth/Russell: Judgment: is true if the corresponding complex exists. Thesis: truth is mind-dependent and consciousness-dependent. Complex: as a belief object it does not contain the judging person.
