Religious beliefs: in contrast to other beliefs, religious beliefs are usually not subject of a questioning. Thus, for example, this is not about the probability of their application or the possibility of their refutation. Even if there are religious arguments, belief itself is not argumentative. Max Horkheimer on Religious Belief - Dictionary of Arguments

Habermas III 465
Religion/Religious Belief/Horkheimer/Habermas: As soon as the knowledge of God, in which the aspects of the true, good, perfect are still indivisible, confronts those knowledge systems which are specialized according to propositional truth, normative correctness and authenticity or beauty, the mode of adherence to religious beliefs loses the casualness which is given to a conviction solely by good reasons.
>God
, >Truth, >The Good, >Completeness, >Perfection, >Correctness, >Propositions,
>Authenticity, >Justification, >Ultimate Justification.
Religious Belief/Adorno/Horkheimer: is then characterized by moments of blindness, mere opinion and overwhelming - belief and knowledge diverge.(1)
>Knowledge, >Beliefs.
