Langue: In Saussure's linguistics, langue is the abstract system of signs and rules that make up a language. It is the social and shared aspect of language, and it is what allows us to communicate with each other. Parole, on the other hand, is the individual act of speaking or writing. See also Parole, Language, Language use, Language community, Speaking, Writing, Hearning, Communication, Meaning.
