| Doxa: doxa (Greek δόξα) means "opinion" or "belief." In philosophy, doxa is often used to refer to common sense or popular opinion, as opposed to episteme (Greek ἐπιστήμη), which refers to knowledge or understanding. Doxa is often seen as being less reliable than episteme, because it is based on personal experience and interpretation rather than on rigorous evidence and reasoning.
