Truth/Barber: Regarding the political understanding of liberalism, which he rejects, Barber says that politics is not the application of truth to the problem of human relationships, but the application of human relationships to the problem of truth. (1)
Haus: thus (following pragmatism) he rejects the view of truth as certain knowledge. (2) ((s)VsHaus: The philosophical concept of truth cannot be equated with knowledge, see a) Realism, b) Pragmatism.
