Krastev I 211 Dostoievsky/Girard/Krastev: Claiming that Dostoyevsky’s writings are ‘superlatively relevant to the interpretation of a post-communist world’, Girard argues as follows: ‘Dostoyevsky deeply resented the servile imitation of everything Western that dominated the Russia of his time.
