Höffe I 101 Ideas/Augustine/Höffe: (...) influenced by New Platonic thinking, Augustine sees in his epistemology the basis of true knowledge in a Platonic thought, the spiritual world of ideas. In contrast to Plato, however, he does not concede to them an "apersonal" being that exists for itself, but rather elevates them to thoughts of God.
