Augustine on Reflection - Dictionary of Arguments

Bubner I 138
Reflection/Augustine/Bubner: what happens in reflexion? Surely it is not a straightforward reflection. There is a core of the ego that is not questioned. But in meditation is uncertain who or what I am.
God, who is not the partner of the conversation, still forms the reference point.
Objective: Discovery of one's own self.

Doubt/Augustine: Doubt and deception mean a defect, which, however, cannot be understood without the idea of perfection that compensates for the defect.
