Art: according to the traditional conception, art is a social sphere that is not directly focused on the maintenance of life functions. For this reason it opens up a certain freedom and possibility of knowledge. In the modern age, the idea of the evading of art has evolved in the face of a widespread through-organization of more and more areas of life. Conversely, the advantage of art over natural beauty can be seen in the fact that the language of art is a demanding language that is not free and indeterminate in its atmospheric interpretation but addresses us in a meaningful and definite way. And it is the wonderful and mysterious thing about art that this particular demand is not a shackle for our mind, but rather opens up the scope of freedom in the play of our powers of cognition.
