| David Gawen Champernowne: David Gawen Champernowne: David Gawen Champernowne (1912–2000) was a British economist known for his work in income distribution, economic growth, and econometrics. A student of Keynes, he contributed to the Cambridge capital controversy and developed the Champernowne model of income distribution. His major work, Economic Inequality and Income Distribution (1973), analyzed wealth distribution dynamics.
