Club of Rome: Club of Rome (1968), non-profit organization that brings together business, academic, and government leaders to discuss and promote sustainable development. Founded by Aurelio Peccei, an Italian industrialist, and Alexander King, a British scientist. Major works include The Limits to Growth (1972), Beyond the Limits (1992), and Come On!: A Strategy for World Survival (2002). Fields of specialization are sustainable development, climate change, and resource depletion.
