Ronald Dworkin (1931 – 2013), American legal philosopher, jurist, and scholar of United States constitutional law. His major works include Taking Rights Seriously (1977), A Matter of Principle (1985), and Law's Empire (1986). His fields of specialization were philosophy, jurisprudence, and constitutional law.
