Jacob Mincer (1922-2006), American economist and one of the founders of modern labor economics. His major works include Schooling, Experience and Earnings (1974), Studies in Labor Supply (1976), and Human Capital: A Theoretical and Empirical Analysis (1993). His fields of specialization were labor economics, human capital theory, and education economics.
