| Bertil Ohlin: Bertil Ohlin (1899-1979) was a Swedish economist and politician. He is best known for developing the Heckscher-Ohlin model of international trade, explaining trade patterns based on countries' relative factor endowments. He shared the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences in 1977 for his contributions to international trade theory.
