Thrasymachus (c. 459-400 BC), Greek sophist and philosopher. No works by Thrasymachus have survived intact, and our knowledge of him comes primarily from Plato's dialogues and from the writings of other ancient authors. He mainly worked on ethics, political philosophy, and rhetoric.
