Degrees, graduals - Economics Dictionary of Arguments
Degrees, graduals: Degrees or graduals in philosophy refer to qualitative or quantitative gradations within properties, states or processes. They enable differentiation between extremes (e.g. more/less, stronger/weaker) and show continuities, for example in cognition, ethics or ontology, without requiring a sharp distinction. See also Continuity, Levels._____________Annotation: The above characterizations of concepts are neither definitions nor exhausting presentations of problems related to them. Instead, they are intended to give a short introduction to the contributions below. – Lexicon of Arguments.
