Emission Permits - Economics Dictionary of Arguments

Emission permits: Emission permits are tradable rights granted by governments, setting limits on the amount of pollutants companies can emit. Each permit represents a specific quantity of emissions. Tradable in emissions trading systems, they allow companies to buy or sell permits, incentivizing emission reduction as companies strive to comply with set limits efficiently.
