Post-industrial society: A post-industrial society is a society in which the service sector has become the largest sector of the economy, surpassing the manufacturing sector. Post-industrial societies are characterized by a high standard of living, a well-educated population, and a focus on knowledge-based industries, such as technology, finance, and healthcare.
