| Social market economy: The social market economy is an economic system that combines free market forces with state intervention for social protection. It promotes competition and entrepreneurship while supporting social justice, equal opportunities and an appropriate distribution of resources. The state regulates markets to ensure fair conditions, but also enables individual entrepreneurial freedom.
