Peter F. Strawson (1919-2006), British philosopher. His major works include Introduction to Logical Theory (1952), Individuals: An Essay in Descriptive Metaphysics (1959), and Language and Thought (1971). His fields of specialization were philosophy of language, logic, history of philosophy, metaphysics, and epistemology.
