Henri Tajfel (1919-1982), Polish-British social psychologist. His major works include Human Groups and Social Categories: Studies in Social Psychology (1978), Social Identity Theory: Psychological Studies in the Nature of Intergroup Relations (1981), and Differentiation Between Social Groups: Studies in the Social Psychology of Intergroup Relations (1974). His fields of specialization were social psychology, social identity theory, intergroup relations, prejudice, and discrimination.
