Alfred Tarski (1901-1983), Polish-American logician and mathematician. His major works include O prawdzie logicznej (1933), Pojęcie prawdy w językach nauk dedukcyjnych (1935), and Prawda (1948). His fields of specialization were logic, semantics, metamathematics, set theory, and model theory.
