John B. Watson (1878-1958), American psychologist. His major works include Psychology as the Behaviorist Views It (1913), Behavior: An Introduction to Comparative Psychology (1914), and Battle Creek Talks: Psychology from the Standpoint of a Behaviorist (1919). His fields of specialization were behaviorism, comparative psychology, child psychology, and advertising psychology.
