Milgram Experiment: The Milgram Experiment, conducted in the 1960s by psychologist Stanley Milgram, tested obedience to authority. Participants, believing they were administering electric shocks to another person, followed instructions from an authority figure. The experiment revealed a high willingness to obey orders, even when they conflicted with personal conscience.
