Realistic Accuracy Model - Psychology Dictionary of Arguments
Realistic Accuracy Model: the Realistic Accuracy Model (RAM) in psychology is a framework for understanding how accurate judgments of others' personalities are made. It suggests that accurate personality judgment depends on four stages relevance (the information must be related to the personality trait being judged), availability (the information must be available to the judge), detection (the judge must detect this information), and utilization (the judge must correctly utilize and interpret the information). See also Personality, Personality traits, Relevance, Judgments._____________Annotation: The above characterizations of concepts are neither definitions nor exhausting presentations of problems related to them. Instead, they are intended to give a short introduction to the contributions below. – Lexicon of Arguments.
