Jean Buridan (c. 1295 – c. 1358), French philosopher. His major works include Quaestiones super octo libros physicorum Aristotelis, Summulae de dialectica, and Tractatus de consequentiis. He mainly worked on logic, ethics, philosophy of mind, philosophy of language, and philosophy of science.
