Post-Democracy - Philosophy Dictionary of Arguments

Post-democracy: Post-democracy describes a political system that retains the outward forms of democracy, such as elections and free speech, but in which the real power lies in the hands of a small elite. In a post-democracy, the government is not responsive to the will of the people, and citizens have little or no real influence on public policy.
