Zeno of Citium (c. 333/332 – c. 262/261 BC), Greek philosopher. Founder of the Stoic school of philosophy. Zenon's major works have been lost, but his teachings are preserved in the writings of his students and followers, such as Chrysippus of Soli and Epictetus. He mainly worked on the stoic.
