I think: the expression by I. Kant for his (narrower) conception of the "Cogito" by Descartes. “The “I think" must be able to accompany all my ideas" (KrV B 131f). This "I think" guarantees that these ideas are my ideas and creates, as a transcendental apperception, a unity in the manifoldness of ideas. See also cogito, subjects.

Immanuel Kant on I Think (Ich denke) - Dictionary of Arguments

Strawson V 79
"I think"/Kant/Strawson: the unit must be aware - it is produced by the mind - but no empirical self-consciousness - synthesis instead.
---
Bubner I 107
"I think"/Kant: forms the last performance of the synthesis, which cannot be derived further. Here, the action-character is most obvious. Self-consciousness produces unity ipso actu in connection.
---
Adorno XII 178
"I think"/Kant/Adorno: that famous "I think" that is to accompany all my ideas is simply the consciousness unit, which consists in the fact that all the consciousness contents of a particular subject are characterized by their connection as those belonging to this and no other. In addition, the "I think" stands for the abstract unity of reason per se which underlies all knowledge.
Kant/Adorno: however, objects: as soon as you introduce yourself to yourself as a particular I, the I is no longer pure, but determined in a space and time. >Cogito
, >I, Ego, Self/Kant, >Subject/Kant, >Person/Kant.
